How do I choose locators for form fields on this site?
Every field carries a stable id and data-testid prefixed with the challenge id — login-username, combobox-input — and every control has a real <label for>, so role-and-name locators work as well. Outcomes land in the site-wide [data-testid="flash"].
Which form challenge causes the most flaky tests?
The custom dropdown and the debounced combobox. Both look like native controls and are not: a Select helper cannot drive a [role="listbox"], and a typeahead that answers ~150 ms after the last keystroke punishes any test that types and asserts immediately.
